as i look at his face, i automatically search and look into his eyes, waiting for them to speak to me. as he's talking about our marriage plans and all the crap i'm going to have to put up with my family during the engagment. and he's talking and talking, but i keep my eyes directly at his eyes, waiting...what is he's soul saying. suddenly what he was takling about just really tuned out, all sound tuned out, glancing at his lips to make sure they were still moving, and i nodd as i'm truly listening. and i go back to his eyes.i was really expecting and waiting for that puppy love face. you know the kind of face a guy gives you when he just realizes he thinks he loves you and has no control over the face. that face that makes you feel weird because its so goofy you tell him, stop looking at me like that. it creeps me out. lol. i thought i was searching for that. but no i didn't get it. and it was his eyes! his eyes! that i saw him and me together. i didn't see that crush face. i saw my future husband, and the guy i was going to spend the rest of my life together. and i kept looking at his eyes. and there was this comfort and this trust that i just wanting to cry. as he's telling me the prices and things that we have to get ready for the wedding. and all the trips and who has to know first. i saw sincerty in his eyes that he loved me, not that he was in puppy love, NO that he really loved me. that he's not going to let me down. that we would be able to overcome anything thrown at us and we will always be there together. and i thought wow he's not half the man i thought he used to be. he's better. i'm so fortunate to have him. and i feel the same way his eyes were saying to me about him. i love him. and i believe we will be forever.
